You might have heard of Malcolm Gladwell already thanks to his best-seller Outlier (which I also recommend). I’m a huge fan: I’ve loved each one of his books. Talking to Strangers is the last one I had the chance to finish, but trust me, as soon as you see his name on a book, pick it up! He’s also the host of a fascinating podcast called Revisionist History.
One thing I guarantee is that you’ll learn so much from Gladwell. With his latest book, he takes a look our interactions with strangers – and tells us why they so often go wrong. His superpower? Telling great stories that you’ll pick up tips, methods and life lessons, as well as info about history and famous events, from.
You’ll also find out how to improve your listening and communication skills by reading this book. Gladwell believes we’re not using the right tools to understand the people we don’t know. And because we’re not able to properly talk to strangers, he says, it has a hugely adverse effect on the way we live!
I’d definitely recommend you go for the audiobook on this one as you’ll hear extracts of the interviews Gladwell’s done, which makes the stories even livelier.
