Six Crucial Business Lessons from Six Years of Entrepreneurship

· 55 min

TransformSolo

After six riveting years of entrepreneurship, I’m ready to share my journey and the lessons learned. Here’s a sneak peek into the life-altering experiences and insights I gathered, which transformed me from an employee to a thriving business owner.

Lesson One: Time

Time is the golden nugget of our era. I had to let go of the false belief that ‘Time is money.’ Instead, I learned to sell my availability and expertise, not the minutes spent working. This shift was a game-changer for me.

“My definition and perception of time completely changed during the last six years, and it has helped me to feel more free, more valued in my work, and to make more money!”

Lesson Two: Money

Money is a taboo topic, but in business, everything revolves around it. Making money is essential, but managing it is as critical as making it.

“Making money is essential, and managing money is as critical as making it!”

Lesson Three: Business, Marketing, Offer, Sales

The best training you can have is by doing the damn thing! Failing forward. Interview your target, shape offers until people buy, make offers, over and over again… until people buy.

“I never felt ready, I was never 100% sure, I was just doing it and ready to observe and learn from the consequences of my actions.”

Lesson Four: Collaboration

Don’t expect for a minute you’ll do this on your own. Your network is the most precious thing you can develop.

“Every time you meet a human being, it’s an opportunity to create a connection. Be meaningful and intentional.”

Lesson Five: Mindset, Confidence

A strong mindset and self-awareness are non-negotiable skills for success.

“My default mode is action. So any time I felt blocked… I knew there was something to observe and to learn there.”

Lesson Six: Health

Your health is your wealth. It’s crucial to maintain a balance between work and rest, nourishing your body with proper nutrition and exercise, and taking time off when needed.

“Taking care of my health is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. It fuels my energy and creativity, empowering me to lead with strength and resilience.”
